With Cost Manager™ 2009, you can visually monitor differences between your project budget and actual cost. Using a unique graphic display, Cost Manager enables you to quickly identify exceeded budgets and track down the source of any issues.
Vico Software Cost Manager 2009 gives you the tightest possible control over your project’s budget. With this straightforward visual monitoring system, you can easily grasp and communicate project cost variances, and compare them to targeted costs. Cost Manager’s unique graphic interface provides a color-coded macro-level view of project costs. This clear picture immediately allows you to analyze variances, and track them to individual project elements.
Terrain
Terrain editing tools are provided. Importing of specific terrain data in DXF or XML formats is made possible.
Mapping
50m grid terrain maps supplied for Japan and New Zealand. World Coordinate translations are possible.
Satellite Image
Overhead images can be imported and draped over the terrain to allow visual references to local features.
Road Layouts
Diverse alignment shapes for roads, rivers, flight paths are possible using freehand or parametric inputs. Roads, tunnels, bridges and rivers are automatically generated relative to the terrain.
Transparent Road Sections
Varying levels of transparency can be applied to portions of a road cross-section. This assists with the modelling of see-through barriers.
Road Intersections
Intersections are automatically generated when road alignments cross each other within a vertical offset tolerance. Textures, drive paths and stopping point locations can be modified such that vehicle movements through intersections can be achieved.
Route Probability
Control of vehicle movements for various vehicle types through turns at intersections and locations where lane changes have been designated is now available. This allows the user to simulate such actions as preventing large trucks from entering small cross roads.
Traffic Source / Sink
Traffic can now be generated or removed at any user defined location along a road in order to represent traffic movements out of or in to major driveways or access roads. At these locations, vehicles will fade in or out to join into the existing traffic streams.
Traffic Simulation Control
Traffic simulations can be readily controlled using play, pause, and reset functions. Play can start from the beginning of a simulation or from a user-defined time limit.
Vehicle Queues at Intersections
Priming or seeding of vehicle queues stopped at intersections is now able to be input via the intersection editor for when traffic simulation is commenced.
Vehicle Groups from Traffic Generators
Traffic generators at the ends of roads or at Traffic Source / Sinks can be controlled to act in phases to simulate vehicles entering the existing traffic stream in groups as if there were traffic signals at that location.
3D Cockpit Editing
Interior models of vehicles can now be assigned to the various vehicle types. Passenger and Driver eye positions can be defined along with designating parts of the interior model to act as side wing mirrors, rear view mirror and central GPS monitor displays.
Environment
Textures can be applied for terrain slopes, excavations, road surfaces, pavements, walls, sky and landforms. Many special textures can be arranged for signs, trees, buildings and the like.
Lighting Effects
Day and night lighting effects can be achieved by providing alternate textures.
Visual Effects
Control of time, weather, light, wire frame, terrain transparency and other visual effects can be done in real time to enhance presentations.
Visual Movement
Control of the current eye position and models within the 3D virtual reality space allows fly-through and other visual presentations to be easily created.
Game Controller Configuration and Activation
Game joysticks and steering wheels can be easily configured for optimal use in UC-win/Road. Activation is readily available from Visual Options.
Multiple Screen Displays
Multiple windows are available to be displayed on either one monitor or more monitors for PC’s with video cards capable of multiple outputs. This is particularly useful for providing peripheral vision for either the driver or passenger inside vehicles during driving simulations. When using multiple monitors or projectors, it is recommended that the left and right screens be placed at slight angles to the central screen.
Default System Definition
Application defaults allow individual users to define how they want UC-win/Road to operate and what they want to happen each time the application is started. Individual projects can be personalised and some settings can be changed.
Resource and Traffic Behaviour Definition
Location Settings are used to manage resources and driving rule differences. Standard location setting files are provided for China (PRC), France, Japan, Korea, and New Zealand.
Unicode Support
Full Unicode support is provided for user data input. UC-win/Road files display user input data in the original language charcter set from when the file was created, regardless of the locale’s operating system. This allows data files to be more readily shared between different locales.
